Pearl Peterson is a Mother of 4 and Grandmother to 10. Pearl is a Metis woman who lives on Treaty Eight territory, Region 6 on an acreage near Grimshaw Alberta. Her background is in Crisis Intervention working at a local Women’s Shelter for 11 years. The last position she had was of the Coordinator of Residential Services. She has been working for the Sagitawa Friendship Society of Peace River for almost a year in the Outreach Coordinator position. Pearl is a member of the Northern Indigenous Health Alliance. Along with Peace River area Pearl covers the High Prairie region as well. Pearl is an avid Gardener and loves learning all she can about herbs and traditional teachings.
